     	Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan antara prestasi belajar peserta didik yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL)  dengan peserta didik yang diajar tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksprimen. Populasinya adalah peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Matakali kelas VIII dengan jumlah 110 peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar yang berbentuk essay pada kedua kelompok. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan tekhnik analisis statistika deskriftif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriftif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Matakali yang diajar dengan menggunakan  model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) sebesar 75.54 berada pada kategori tinggi dengan standar deviasi 16.901 bervariasi dari nilai terendah yaitu 47 sampai tertinggi 100. Dari 24 peserta didik persentase ketuntasan yang dicapai sebesar 70.84% peserta didik diketegorikan tuntas. Rata-rata hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Matakali yang diajar tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berada pada kategori tinggi  yaitu sebesar 58.46 dengan standar deviasi 20.001 bervariasi dari nilai terendah 25 sampai pada nilai tertinggi 87. Dari 28 peserta didik presentase ketuntasan yang dicapai sebesar 46.42% dikategorikan tuntas. Hasil analisis statistika inferensial  yang diperoleh nilai thitung&gt;ttabel yang menyebabkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Secara signifikan terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan prestasi belajar yang diajar tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL).&#13;

     This study aimed to obtain information whether there is a significant relationship between learning achievement of students taught using learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL) with learners who are taught without using model Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study is a research experiment. Its population is students of SMP Negeri 1 Matakali class VIII with the number of 110 learners. Data were collected through tests of learning outcomes in the form of essays in both groups. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the average result of learning mathematics students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Matakali taught using learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL) of 75.54 at high category with a standard deviation of 16 901 varies from the lowest value that is 47 to top 100 . Of the 24 students achieved mastery percentage of 70.84% of learners diketegorikan completed. The average math learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Matakali taught without using model Problem Based Learning (PBL) is in the high category in the amount of 58.46 with a standard deviation of 20 001 varies from a low of 25 reached the highest value 87. From 28 the percentage of students achieved mastery of 46.42% categorized completed. Inferential statistical analysis of the results obtained tcount&gt; ttabel that causes H0 and H1 accepted. Significantly there are differences in mathematics achievement of students who were taught using learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL) and the learning achievement that taught without using model Problem Based Learning (PBL).&#13;
